Supervisor WH Lorenz, of the Stockton State Hospital, will resign his
position in the near future to accept the cashiership of the 1st National
Bank of Lodi.  The bank directors held a meeting yesterday and elected Mr.
Lorenz as cashier. The new bank expects to open its doors some time this
spring.  

Mr. Lorenz is a thoroughly capable and most affable gentleman and
his many friends will congratulate him on his good fortune.  The plans for
the new bank have been drawn by Architect Brown of the Allied Arts Co. and a
handsome and substantial structure is contemplated.  Work upon the building
will begin in the near future- Stockton California Evening Record.

Mr .Lorenz was an old Crawfordsville boy and was in the employ of the coffin
factory. He went from here to Pullman, Ill. where he had a responsible
position in the establishment of the Pullman car works, in which city he was
married to Miss Nellie Streight the daughter of Ed Streight also a former
resident of this city.  After his marriage he removed to California where he
has been very successful.
